I'm excited by my latest purchase of silver glass from DoubleHelix because it contains test batches! And something else that is making my heart race.....
Opaque Sparkle Lusters!! ARGH!!!!! Look at those sparkly rods!
I also stocked up on Zephyr, the best Clear that I can find on the market. I usually get the 'seconds' lots from Doublehelix as I really cant see the difference between them and the 'proper' lots. More Helios, Olympia Rain and of course, the most Fantabulous glass ever created....Terra.
I have been on a 2 week hiatus from beadmaking, self imposed, as I bead everyday leading up to a major Bead Show. Since the next one is not until November, I gave myself a couple of weeks rest. Can't burn out the MOJO! But now that this glass has turned up....I may just turn on the torch a little earlier than planned.

P.S, do my photos fit into the left column correctly without riding over into the right hand column? On my monitor they look fine but I've had an email from somebody saying that the photos are too big....please leave a comment and let me know!
The photos look fine on my computer, but I think if someone was using an older computer, they may not fit. I have a new Mac with a wide screen. BTW I love the sparkle rods, can't wait to see what they look like as beads :)

DeletePhotos are fine on mine, too. Is that hand pulled or machine pulled terra..they are same price...do they react differently do you think? The sparkle ones are very interesting....!

Jenni, I have ordered both and they work about the same to me. The new stuff is brilliant and ridiculously easy to strike, as soon as it hits the flame it explodes rainbows. MUCH better than the original Terra...in my opinion!

ReplyDeleteOooooohh I saw the sparkly rods straight away too - that is some serious blingy glass!!! The pics look fine - the clear glass on the far right is almost off my screen, but not sure if you photographed it that way.....everything else is in the picture. My monitor is 23" wide screen and brand new...if that helps :)
